Way Past time for Catching Up

We attended the Ward Campout in Aug 2010.

It was so much fun. These are some of the pictures we took of those who attended and some of the happenings.

The Lewis' brought their Candy canon. It was just fired off.

You can see the candy fall over the kids heads.

The race is on to see who gets the most candy!

River Fun

Saturdays Lunch. Grilled Pizza. It was totally awesome.

Down pour of the century! All the times we have been to Warm River we've never seen this much rain. I would say cloud burst. The river raised 4 inches. It didn't wash away our fun. We all just hung out in the shelter and had a blast playing games and visiting.

After the rain stopped. It turned out to be a chilly but nice evening.

Such great memories for all that attended.

4th of July Visit

Our Son and his family were able to visit for the weekend.

It was awesome having them here.

And as a bonus we got to keep the 2 youngest grandkids for all of the next week.

We had a really great time. Did lots of things.

BORING POST!

Not much new to post about. BORING!!!!!

We've been painting our kitchen. I hate when your house is torn apart! It's been a LONG process because we haven't been able to just devote all of our time on it. We're finally down to putting doors back on and touch ups. The other thing is I'm not Loving it, so it's hard to get excited to work on it.(I picked all the color, so I can't blame anyone but ME) Not going to complain because my sweet husband has been a real trooper. And it's clean. WE'RE GETTING TO OLD TO DO THIS!

Halloween was really fun seeing all the Trick or Treaters! We had quite a few this year. The weather helped that out. Such cute costumes. We always give extra treats to our neighbors and Ward kids. We had a lot more of them this year. It was really fun to see their costumes and hear the things they say. Hope you all had a fun Halloween!

Well, it's on to the next Holiday! We are sooooo excited because Our grandkids and their Mom and Dad are coming. Can't wait, can't wait! Just praying our house gets back together.... SOON!!!

This week Our oldest Granddaughter becomes a TEENAGER. All though she was 16 when she was 2 years old. LOL!

We will never forget the day she was born. The feelings and emotions were behind AMAZING.

She is an amazing young women, with soooo many talents. We LOVE HER So Much and are so PROUD of Her.

Cemetery Surprise!

A few years ago, after Reed's Dad passed away. We decided we needed to purchase grave plots for ourselves. Creepy I know! Both of our Father's are buried in this cemetery. It really is a very peaceful, beautiful place and not crowded but getting more popular as the years go on. Plus, we don't want our kids to have to worry about that. The plots we bought are at the head of Reed's Dad's. Wanting to keep the family together, ya no! Matter of fact the whole corner was bought up by family members.

Well, while visiting the cemetery, we found out someone had been buried in our plot. WHAT!!!! And after looking a little closer we also found out that 2 other family plots had been used. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!!!!! NOPE!

Somehow in the last 6 years, someone unmarked them as being sold. Grrrrh!

The sexton asked, what can we do to make this right with you? Move the buried man......! DAAHHH!

No just kidding. We just want some new plots and not to far from our family. Luckily, they had some right across the road, (unless there is a mistake there!) But our names our in the books again (which we watched being put in the books last time). I even asked the person that was in charge of the stuff the first time, how will we know that these won't get sold. She said you're in the books and your names are on the map. OKAYYYYY! Somehow it all was removed. I wouldn't want the job of keeping it straight. The turn over of keepers, changes to often. And not all are good bookkeepers.

We were treated really good and feel like things were made right, but learned that this is something to check on regularly.

The ironic thing is, we know the person that was buried in our plot. A really wonderful person and a very sad loss. We couldn't think of a better person to have laid to rest in our spot. So we're happy about that. We could have easily been to that funeral and can you imagine the surprise it would have been for us at the cemetery.......!

Well, it all turned out alright.

And we hope it can be a Sacred place, one of peace, comfort and love for his family to visit.

Computer break down!

I've been having problems with my computer for about 2 weeks! It's so annoying. Anyway, We ended up getting a new computer, oh darn, hated to spend the moola but LOVING the speed and new features. I've had to down load all my pictures etc. I forgot I had this picture. Decided to post it because it makes me smile when I see it.

With our weather so far this week I needed something to bring a smile. Hopefully it will bring a smile for you too!! :)

Jake, we can't believe it's been 10 years ago you came to our family. But it's one of the BEST things that has happened for us. We couldn't ask for a better GRANDSON. My Mother just celebrated her "89th" birthday yesterday(23rd). We had a family dinner with her Sunday evening with the family that lives here locally. We had a really GREAT TIME. Mom is in such great shape. We all are so grateful for her good health and her ability to take good care of herself. She puts some of the rest of us to shame(ME). She can dance circles around me. Happy "38th" Anniversary!

That's right, We just celebrated Our "38th" on the 20th of Feb. Yes, I've dated myself, but I'm so proud to be able to say we've been married that long.(and are still happy!!!) We dated 3 years before that! We were High School Sweethearts. Reed is my BEST FRIEND, always has been and always will be. He has been a wonderful HUSBAND and FATHER. I wouldn't trade him for nothing. We've had great times and tough times. We've had our fair share of trials, but it's made us that much stronger and closer. We have been blessed with 2 wonderful kids, Jason and Amy. 2 wonderful in-law kids, who are just like our own. And three wonderful grand kids. We really have so much to be grateful for. Our FAMILY means EVERYTHING to us.

Our daughter Amy left for Hawaii this week. Her and her husband (who has been in Iraq for 16 months) will be reunited very soon. They will get to live in Hawaii for a least 6 months. I can't think of a better place to be to rekindle your relationship. We are going to MISS Her sooooo much, but are so excited for them to be together again.

I told her she has to take lots of pictures and stick her toes in the water and sand for us. They are going to have the BEST time.

I remember so clearly the day she was born. It's hard to believe she is "7"!

She was Tinker Bell one year. She looks like a porcelain Doll.

She Loves animals, especially Buster.

She LOVES to color. When we are there, her and I usually spend several hours coloring. I LOVE this time with her. She has filled Our Lives with so much JOY & LOVE. We're so grateful she came to Our FAMILY.

She is a great entertainer. She is a great dancer and singer. She amazes me at how many songs she know the words to or makes up her own version. She is a very good student and loves the monkey bars. She also is very compassionate.

Besides fighting cold weather and bronchitis, our time since the 8th of January has been "CONSUMED" by the following........

Meet Winston (L) Monty (R)

in these picture they are 6 weeks old and today they are one day shy of 8 weeks. They are Shih Tzu's. Winston is ours, he is dark brown and white (if you couldn't tell) he's actually called liver and white. Monty is Amy and Craig's but he gets to stay with us for awhile. HOLY COW!!!!! I forgot how much work they are!!!!! Then to take on TWO....... oh my gosh! There are some advantages, they had each other so we didn't have the crying. They sleep really good at night.

They are really Cute and really smart, they will be Geniuses when they master potty training......

We're still asking ourselves, are We CrAzY or what????????

Oh yah, the other 2 still live with us also, the Pug and Maltipoo.....

We got to be with our grandkids again for Christmas. We enjoy being with them so much. When you're with them (during the holidays), it's hard not to start feeling the thrill and excitement that they have. But most of all to be able to see they are also being taught the true meaning of Christmas. Thank you all for sharing. We had a GREAT TIME again!

Our daughter Amy had to have sinus surgery on Friday. It was a medical surgery, Not a nose job!

Anyway, when she was in recovery and since she's been home, We've talked about how many people have this and more done just for BEAUTY! They risk their lives and appearance forever and so many of the results are SCARY! "THEY ARE OUT OF THEIR MINDS". Her surgery wasn't as involved as most and she was miserable. It was really hard being her parent seeing what she was going thru. (Her husband is in Iraq and would have been here if he could have)

I do know there are good reasons for having plastic surg., etc. And they should be done. But just to have it done all in the name of being VAIN. WOW, they have a lot more tolerance for pain then I do!

We're glad hers is over. It should improve her health a lot. She's glad she had the whole weekend off to kind of recover. She originally thought she might beable to work on Saturday. NO WAY. Her work was smart telling her she better have saturday off too. Thank You!

She's doing good, she's very sore and she's starting to be able to breath thru her nose some again. (that would freak me out! I know I'm a big woose but I like breathing and I'm not into pain.)

We're glad it's over Amy. You are one tuff cookie! We LOVE YOU!

Christmas past

These are just a few of my favorite pictures from Christmas' past.

We've been able to be with our grandkids (also their Dad, our son, and their Mom) for Christmas. We always have the best time. Tamara and Jason have an annual Cookie Party. They do it Christmas Eve day morning. They do breakfast for all the family(brothers, sisters, Grandparents, cousins, etc.) and after eating, all the kids decorate sugar cookies for Santa. The kids just love being able to take home their own creations.

Then Christmas Eve Tamara's parents have a really nice dinner at their house. They are always so wonderful to include us. After dinner they read from the scriptures of Jesus' birth and the children all participate in acting it out. We LOVE them all so much for letting us be part of their family traditions.

These are the Trick or Treater's from our house this year :)

They'll do just about anything for a treat, Except wear a costume. Bogart (the black pug, Amy's dog) just wanted to eat his Bat hat and Ziggy Pumpkin head (our little maltipoo) was so humilated all he wanted to do is hide. Sorry Zig, I do Love you!

I've learned taking pictures of animals isn't easy. I tried to fix red eye, blue eye, and blurry but need more practice w/photoshop. Some pictures are better then none, it's a good laugh. Beside they kind of look spoooooky....

My Favorite Halloween

I was looking thru some of our pictures and ran across these. It was so much fun having Jason, Tamara and the Grandkids at our house for Halloween a few years ago. They were here from Arizona.

It was a little different for them Trick or Treating in Idaho. They had to dress a little warmer. Thank goodness the weather was nice, a little chilly and a little of Idaho wind but no snow or rain.

We even got to carve pumpkins from our garden. It was so much fun watching them create.

We always look forward to having the neighbor kids and Ward kids come to our door. But having our Grandkids here was the very BEST!

I'm going to give this a try. This was one of our classes at our Relief Society Super Saturday. They convinced me I needed to do this. I LOVE Tamara's so much that I thought it would be something I could do especially for my Grandkids.

This is what our Saturday was doing. The first snow of the season.

It's sad to see our nice Idaho summer temperatures leaving.

Sunday morning we had about an inch, maybe a little more. I think we've seen the last of the 70's and 80's. Most of the snow melted today except in the shade. But our temps are only suppose to get as high as the 60's.
